By using imitation leather materials, we achieve our company's core values: quality, durability and ease of care. The synthetic leather we use is waterproofso it is unaffected by water and dirt (real leather absorbs both moisture and dirt). This property prevents cracking and drying of the imitation leather, as well as discolouration. This artificial leather material is machine washable at 30°C and is easy to maintainas it can also be simply cleaned with a damp sponge.
This material is extremely durable and has a very high abrasion resistance. Compared to real leather, imitation leather weighs much less and provides extra comfort and can also improve performance.
As it is extremely difficult to tell the difference between our faux leather material and real leather, our products can be easily matched to all other saddlery.
Kentucky sheepskin is better than real sheepskin in every way: it is breathable and just as soft and robust like real sheepskin, but faux sheepskin has the great advantages of being able to withstand countless washings, not shedding and not losing its shape. We recommend washing at 30°C and then allowing the products to dry at room temperature.
The cost of producing high-quality artificial sheepskin is higher than that of real sheepskin. There are no animal ingredients in Kentucky's entire product range, and it's worth the cost because we are 100% animal-friendly.
In addition to the popular Kentucky faux sheepskin, we have also developed a faux rabbitskin, which we mainly use as a lining for our horse blankets.
The artificial rabbit skin has several major advantages - it is extremely soft and does not chafe horses' shoulders or catch hair.
The soft lining will "pluck" your horse, making its coat shinier. Faux rabbitskin also has little air pockets that are great for maintaining and retaining body heat. Due to its high warmth-to-weight ratio, artificial rabbit skin guarantees superior comfort and warmth.
