EDIX Velvet 8-pocket Merino saddle pad

The EDIX® dressage saddle pad from the “Velvet Collection” is suitable for both treeless and traditional saddles. It is made from soft velvet fabric on the top and features a Merino® lambskin underside.

Description:
The saddle pad has an anatomical shape and a wool collar at the withers for extra comfort. On both sides of the spine there are 2 large and 3 small pockets (8 pockets in total) for inserts. Felt inserts are included as standard, but they can be replaced with other types if needed. The pocket system helps improve saddle positioning and ensures more even pressure distribution.

In areas where the rider’s leg causes friction, a nylon reinforcement is added to prevent wear.

High-quality Merino wool is one of the most technologically advanced natural materials. Because full lambskin is used instead of processed or woven wool, its properties are utilized to the maximum. It is recommended to use the saddle pad directly on the horse’s back.

The saddle pad features a special free spine channel design with shorter trimmed wool along the spine. This helps reduce pressure points and provides optimal protection for the horse’s spine. The large wool surface allows the saddle panels to rest fully on the pad. As a result, natural fibers effectively wick away moisture while distributing pressure and absorbing shocks.
